Minimum Qualifications
A certificate in Phlebotomy and two years of current technician work experience are required. Must be able to travel as needed with experience supervising Phlebotomists and possess general computer skills.
Preferred Qualifications
An Associate’s degree or a Bachelor’s degree in a health related field, a current National Phlebotomy certification, and five years full-time Phlebotomy Technician work experience are preferred. Experience teaching adults and online courses are preferred. A National Career Readiness Certification and bilingual are preferred.
Position Description
Duties include teaching student to perform basic Phlebotomy techniques in compliance with appropriate state and national agencies, teaching mandated curriculums, teaching program guidelines and regulations. The instructor will evaluate the competency of each student through laboratory/skill practice and clinical evaluations. Duties also include maintaining academic, attendance, and student records. Travel to clinical sites is required and all other duties assigned by the Director of Allied Health, Workforce Continuing Education.
