A Master’s degree in Physics or a Master’s degree with 18 graduate semester hours in Physics is required. Interested candidates must be able to teach face to face classes. A self-starter, team player and someone with a demonstrated ability to work well with others required. Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
One to three years of teaching experience at the post-secondary level is preferred. Bilingual preferred.
The Physics instructor is responsible for teaching an average of 6-12 hours per semester. Instructional duties include teaching day and/or evening courses in physics. Classes meet on the main campus and at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base. Responsibilities include on-site and supplemental online instruction; course development where applicable; computer lab supervision; timely submission of reports; and adherence to achieving learning outcomes.
