- Previous experience in an office environment.

Position Description
This is a full-time, 12-month position housed at the Ashe Campus. The administrative assistant will operate under the direction and supervision of the Office Manager of the Ashe Campus and will provide support to curriculum and continuing education programs offered in Ashe County.
Duties include:
1. Provides general office support for staff and faculty of the Ashe.
2. Serves as the primary receptionist for the Ashe Campus, with a focus on customer service in the greeting of students and visitors and on incoming phone calls.
3. Administers placement tests and re-tests for incoming students.
4. Registers and processes continuing education course registrations and other paperwork for assigned continuing education courses, including course evaluations, payroll records, certification materials, rosters, and contracts.
5. Maintains course files for assigned continuing education courses.
6. Verifyies hours and issue payment requests for the college’s cosmetology programs.
7. Completes travel requests and reimbursement forms for faculty and staff, as assigned.
8. Coordinates the placement testing process for incoming students.
9. Assists with budget tracking for the campus, particularly for continuing education.
10. Assists with the development of curriculum contracts, work-study contracts, collects rosters and grade reports, and other administrative functions associated with classroom instruction.
11. Supports students and prospective students at the Ashe Campus in the enrollment process and provides a customer-focused approach to problem-solving.
12. Supports special events hosted by the Ashe Campus.

15. Performs other related duties, as assigned by supervisor.
