Minimum Qualifications

Associate’s Degree

Two years of experience in administrative support or related position

Strong oral and written communication skills

Strong computer skills 

Ability to work effectively and collegially with others in a team environment

Familiarity with and appreciation for the mission of a comprehensive community college

Position Description

We are looking for an adaptable team player, who thrives in an innovative and autonomous role, that is timely, decisive and a great communicator. The HR Administrative Support Staff Member will work in partnership with the HR team to develop, implement and enforce policies and procedures, focus on staffing, talent acquisition, employment onboarding and processing, training, records management, employee relations, compliance, compensation and benefits and other administrative duties. What you’ll do on a typical day:

  • Greets visitors and responds to telephone and email inquiries.
  • Maintains office equipment and inventory of supplies, and generates purchase requests for office
  • Receives and distributes incoming daily mail for the Human Resources office staff.
  • Compose advertisements for position vacancies; generate advertising purchase orders
  • Performing HRIS data entry and personnel file maintenance.
  • Assisting with new hire administration and processing
  • Assisting with new-hire orientations
  • Maintaining confidential personnel files and personnel actions.
  • Migrate and maintaining job descriptions in one standard format
  • Create, and maintain employee name badges and keys
  • Tracking and filing annual performance reviews
  • Conduct background checks for new hires
