Minimum Qualifications
A Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Human Services or a related field with two years of relevant adult education experience is required. This position requires the ability to work with a diverse population focusing on customer service.
Preferred Qualifications
It is preferred the candidate have a current Notary Public certification, a minimum of two years of work experience in a community college setting, and be familiar with the Ellucian Colleague computer system. A National Career Readiness Certificate and bilingual are preferred.
Position Description
This position promotes the philosophy, mission, and goals of Transitional Programs, the Workforce Continuing Education Services Division, and Wayne Community College. The job duties for this position includes serving as an advisor for the Adult High School (AHS) and English Language Acquisition students; maintaining electronic student transcripts and providing transcripts as requested; administering the Orientation/Placement testing as needed and assisting with orientations; graduate AHS and GED students in Colleague using degree audit; and will serve as a substitute instructor as needed. The candidate will oversee the attendance committee, oversee lesson plans in Google Docs, and will participate in the department auditing process. The Admissions and Records Specialist II will perform all other duties as assigned by the Workforce Continuing Education Coordinator of Student Services.
