Position Description

Essential Responsibilities

  1. Develop course outlines and teaching materials based on the state curriculum standards and make changes to the curriculum as needed
  2. Facilitate the delivery of courses in the Agribusiness Technology program each academic year
  3. Deliver a full-time teaching load providing a combination of traditional, internet, hybrid and Career and College Promise classes as needed for the academic year
  4. Serve as a curriculum and career development advisor to Agribusiness Technology students
  5. Actively recruit, cultivate, and retain quality adjunct faculty
  6. Conduct classroom observations of adjunct faculty in coordination with the Dean
  7. Serve on various college committees and community organizations
  8. Develop Program Enhancement Plans, including other planning and assessment documents as needed by the Dean and Institutional Assessment
  9. Propose and monitor the Agribusiness Technology equipment and supply budget
  10. Serve as an ambassador in the community for the College and the Agribusiness Technology program
  11. Assist and consult with the Dean, upon request
  12. Perform expectations of a faculty member as stated in the Full Time Faculty Job Description Other duties as assigned

  2. Ability to work with others and describe technical issues to non-technical personnel
  3. Ability to work effectively with individuals at all organizational levels and in a variety of work environments

  5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and must be highly organized
  6. Excellent technical analysis and problem solving skills
  7. Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems
  8. Ability to monitor and assess performance of yourself, other individuals, or organizations to make improvements or take corrective action
  9. Ability to consider the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one
  10. Must work well independently and within a small team to support the division’s infrastructure
  11. Display initiative, flexibility, and the ability to determine priorities; ability to effectively handle multiple tasks and accomplish goals within set time and financial limits without undue stress
  12. Ability to work effectively under pressure and with a minimum of supervision
