Position Description

This position is responsible for the coordination and facilitation of the Amazon Mechatronics Registered Apprenticeship independent learning classroom.   

Responsibilities and Duties (*Essential Functions)

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the essential job functions satisfactorily.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the primary job functions herein described.  

 *Provide oversight of classrooms and laboratories to ensure safety, daily attendance, capture the signature of any students who sign-in/sign-out during their allocated classroom time, as well as record and submit documents

*Coordinate small study groups by pairing students and ensuring they are working on relevant learning objectives in the Amatrol Learning Management System

*Coordinate with tutorial staff to ensure students have adequate time to ask questions related to learning materials

*Work with Amazon instructors to coordinate student movement between the classroom and the apprenticeship laboratory

Monitor student behavior to ensure students adhere to the student code of conduct

Work with students to clarify questions about material covered in class or the apprenticeship laboratory

Review relevant study guides with students and administer nongraded practice pretests to ensure readiness for credential testing

Complete and submit standardized forms as directed

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Intermediate skills in MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel

Excellent organizational skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to exhibit good interpersonal skills and work well with others

Demonstrates excellent customer service skills

Ability to maintain records accurately and be able to meet deadlines consistently
