Minimum Qualifications
Experience
Bachelor's degree from accredited institution required.
Minimum of 3 years' experience in developing and maintaining working relationships with industry partners, public school systems, and/or community colleges.
Ability to:
- Knowledgeably relate to business/industry representatives from front line trainers to top management in large to small companies.
- Prioritize and schedule daily activities in a timely manner.
- Accurately assess jobs integrating skills standards and design work processes.
- Cultivate a network of business partners and students.
Other Personal Traits
Good oral and written communication skills; proactive, self-directed and task-oriented; understanding and capability of delivering excellent customer service; ability to work as a team-player in a team-based environment; dress and grooming appropriate to professional office setting.
Other Requirements: Must be able to pass CVCC and any service area school system's background check, have valid driver's license and/or ability to travel throughout service area on a daily basis as needed.

Position Description
Develop and maintain regional partnerships with business and industry, workforce and economic development agencies, and a variety of education and training organizations.
Identify new and emerging employee training opportunities that align with economic market trends and industry workforce needs.
Organize, facilitate, and register apprenticeship programs and pre-apprenticeship programs.
Work directly with business and industry to develop the key elements of a registered apprenticeship program and assist in the various stages of development including allocating resources to best accomplish the goals of the programs.
Advise regional partners of local, state, and federal funding and other resources available to support the registered apprenticeship programs.
Promote the best practices and trends around existing registered apprenticeship and pre-apprenticeship programs throughout the state.
