- Teaching experience at the secondary, or post-secondary level
- Experience with educational technology (computer use in lecture presentations and laboratory exercises, interactive video, etc.)

Position Description

GENERAL FUNCTION:
Under general supervision, is responsible for all activities related to developing and instructing the Aquaculture Technology program. Includes such responsibilities as recruiting students, supervising work co-op students, developing curriculum, assisting with student placement, etc. Reports to the Director of Community Service Programs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ability to teach in general biology, marine biology for majors and non-majors, marine ecology and water chemistry
- Ability to teach courses in fish health, anatomy and physiology, chemistry, fisheries science and aquaculture engineering
- Ability to work in a variety of instructional settings and times, including evenings, Saturdays, online or off-campus
- Ability to perform specialized and technical duties to ensure efficient; teaching both lecture and laboratory biotech courses

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor or Master degree in any biological science and marine biology; or the equivalent education and/or experience
- Teaching experience at the secondary, or post-secondary level
