Minimum Qualifications
Master’s degree or higher in Art.
Preferred Qualifications
• MFA in Ceramics with the ability to teach wheel throwing and hand building.
• Experience using both an electric kiln and a gas kiln.
• Experience mixing glazes.
• Experience maintaining a clay studio.
• Credential to teach Art Appreciation, Art History, and 3D Design as needed—online and/or seated.
Position Description
The teaching load for this position is 18 credit hours per semester. Instructors must be prepared to teach across educational mediums (online, information highway, etc.) as needed. Other duties include academic advising, college service, and professional development activities. Instructors are expected to abide by all applicable college policies. They are also expected to stay current with all college-required training (FERPA, Title IX, etc.).
