An Associate’s degree from an accredited community college with two years responsible student services experience. Communication skills, both oral and written are necessary. Must have expert proficiency in Microsoft Office (Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).

Announcement Summary

Fayetteville Technical Community College is seeking qualified applicants for this full-time position. The ability to effectively work in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple tasks, resolve student issues and work well with others is critical to experiencing success in this position. Duties

Participate in the development, planning, implementation of goals and objectives related to Assessment and Retention and various campus graduation ceremonies.

Coordinate special projects as assigned such as Open Houses, Graduation Ceremonies, Software Implementation and First Time, First Generation student activities.

Develop, review, and recommend new or modified professional development opportunities for staff and faculty concerning issues of advising, retention and graduation.

Provide written input on the evaluation of staff and lab technicians assigned within the department, as deemed appropriate by the Dean of Enrollment Management and Associate Vice President of Student Services.

Maintain, Develop and Coordinate campus advising professional development with staff and faculty with Ellucian Advise, Etrieve, Hyland, 25 Live, Rise, Residency Determination Services and other software solutions.

Coordinate and assist in the maintenance and security of equipment, furniture and supplies as appropriate.

Submit a Personal and Professional Development Plan on an annual basis and ensure staff assigned to the program/concentration also provides a well-thought out plan.

Maintain program compliance activities within SACSCOC criterion on a daily basis.

Participate in student advisement and registration processes.

Make appropriate recommendations on student graduation readiness, including initiating requests for course substitutions, as appropriate.

Resolve complaints or problems among faculty, staff, and students within the program/concentration area and advise of potential escalation of problems, as appropriate.

Assist with the ongoing operations of the Veterans Office, Military Division, Admissions and Testing, Financial Aid, Registrar’s Office, Disability Support Services, and Student Activities Office as needed.

Perform related duties as assigned for the department as a part of the administrative responsibilities for administrative staff and/or other operational support employees.
