Minimum Qualifications
Associate’s degree from an accredited college in Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field with experience:
Proficiency with Blackboard, Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) and internet browers;
In developing and delivering trainings in support of faculty;
In a customer service related environment;
In captioning.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field.
Position Description
Assists the Blackboard System Administrator in supporting Blackboard users and administers of the Blackboard (Bb) Learning Management System (LMS) for the College’s delivery of online instruction.
Develops and delivers new training materials in support of new technologies used within the LMS and for upgrades to Blackboard.
Responds to student and faculty phone calls and emails regarding ongoing Blackboard maintenance issues such as login, user accounts, and password retrieval.
Supports and trains faculty in the use of courseware designed to engage students and achieve learning outcomes.
Provides in-person, telephone, and e-mail support for faculty delivering course content through Blackboard.
Provides “real-time” assistance to faculty experiencing technical difficulties with the learning management system.
Interacts with the online standards team to develop, implement, and assess FTCC’s online academic courses and standards.
Completes duties and responsibilities in compliance with College standards, policies, and guidelines.
Completes all required training and professional development sessions sponsored by Fayetteville Technical Community College.
Promotes positive morale and teamwork within the functional unit and provide exceptional customer service to students, faculty, and community.
Communicates effectively, both orally and in writing.
Provides administrative support to departmental staff, including but not limited to, the following: coordinate travel arrangements for departmental staff, order and maintain office supplies and maintain related records, and perform general clerical work to include filing, scheduling appointments and meetings, and processing reimbursement requests.
Perform other duties as assigned.
