Minimum Qualifications
Associate’s degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, or related field from an accredited institution with experience in Blackboard and Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) and internet browsers; developing and delivering trainings in support of faculty; a customer service related environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience or knowledge of:
Quality Matters standards.
Universal design for learning.
W3C Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act, and other applicable laws and standards.
Adobe Suite, H5P, Articulate 360
Creating instructional content that incorporates audio and video.
Captioning software and accessibility checkers to evaluate the accessibility of content.
Records storage and handling techniques.
Position Description
Provide technical support for all online learning management system instructional initiatives to improve learning outcomes, facilitate technology-rich teaching, and advance curricular innovation.
Provide Blackboard training for faculty.
Support Blackboard users and administers the Blackboard Learning Management
System (LMS).
Develop and deliver new training materials in support of new technologies used within the LMS and for upgrades to Blackboard.
Respond to student and faculty phone calls and email regarding ongoing Blackboard maintenance issues such as login, user accounts, and password retrieval.
Support and train faculty in use of courseware designed to engage students and achieve learning outcomes.
Provide in-person, telephone, and e-mail support for faculty delivering course content through Blackboard.
Provide “real-time” assistance to faculty experiencing technical difficulties with the learning management system.
Interact with the online standards team to develop, implement, and assess FTCC’s online academic courses and standards.
Complete duties and responsibilities in compliance with College standards, policies, and guidelines.
Complete all required training and professional development sessions sponsored by Fayetteville Technical Community College.
Promote positive morale and teamwork within the functional unit and provides exceptional customer service to students, faculty, and community.
Communicates effectively, both orally and in writing.
Performs other duties as assigned.
