Minimum Qualifications
Four years of progressively responsible administrative and supervisory experience in a variety of phases of retail management, purchasing, inventory control, or accounting. A bachelor’s degree or equivalent from an accredited college or university in retailing, business administration, marketing, or a closely related field; or equivalent. Extensive experience directly related to the position duties, well documented in the application packet, may be considered in lieu of the degree requirement.

Announcement Summary
The Assistant Director of Bookstore (Course Materials) is a highly responsible position that reports to the Director of Bookstore. This individual is a member of the leadership team of a complex College Bookstore operation, which generates approximately $7 million in annual sales.
Duties
The individual in this position assists in the planning, organizing, and supervising of the operational and financial activities of the Bookstore; oversees and reviews the work of assigned personnel; collaborates on textbooks required and textbook ordering; ensures appropriate support and service is provided to students, faculty, and staff; recommends new internal controls, programs, systems, policies, procedures and work plans; participates in recommending new personnel; provides highly responsible assistance to the Director of Bookstore; prepares monthly and annual financial reports; performs other duties as assigned.
