Minimum Qualifications
Master’s degree from a regionally accredited institution. Extensive knowledge and experience with federal and/or state program administration, compliance requirements, and federal and state regulations. Experience in accounting and fiscal management to include reconciliation, auditing, and budgeting experience. Knowledge of Datatel/Colleague software, document imaging systems, and MS Office software with strong proficiency in MS Excel. Excellent oral and written communication. Supervision experience preferred.

Position Description
- Assist with managing the day-to-day office operations to include: resolving escalated student financial aid matters, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders on various tasks and processes, assisting with supervision of financial aid staff, and serving as a back-up in the absence of the Director of Financial Aid.
- Oversee the administration of the Federal Work Study Program to include conducting the hiring, payroll, recordkeeping, and reconciliation processes in accordance to federal regulations. Supervises the office’s student employee(s) and their duties.
- Oversee the student aid disbursement process to include: reviewing the FATR report, adjusting student awards, ensure proper accounting for all fund amounts, authorize final student aid disbursements, and coordinates with the Business Office to ensure the timely and accurate posting of student aid funds to student accounts in accordance with federal and state regulations and deadlines.
- Manage various processes and reports related to the disbursement of student aid programs to include, importing and exporting data, clearing rejected disbursements, resolving flags, and accurate reporting and reconciliation of disbursed funds.
- Responsible for program administration and fiscal management of certain state and institutional aid programs, as assigned.
- Maintains accurate, easily accessible records of all financial aid programs for auditing and evaluation purposes in accordance with FERPA and Higher Education Act privacy laws and guidelines.
- Prepare fund projections, budgets, and various reports to ensure assigned program funds are fully expended within the required federal, state, and institutional timelines.
- Assist the Director of Financial Aid with state audits, VA audits, federal program reviews, conducting internal audits, compliance reports, monthly reconciliations, end-of-year program closeouts, and various federal and state reports, as needed.
- Serve on the Veterans Affairs Team and assist the Director of Financial Aid and the VA Certifying Official with providing resources and excellent service to our veterans, servicemembers, and military families.
- Support the Director of Financial Aid with software system maintenance and updates, development of institutional policies and procedures in accordance with federal and state regulations, and carrying out office strategic initiatives.
- Interpret the mission, educational philosophy, and vision statements of Robeson Community College to the general public.
- Support the institutional goals and objectives.
- Maintain the integrity of the College and its related foundations.
- Represent the College professionally and handling all financial affairs and student records confidentially.
- Performs all other duties as assigned by Director of Financial Aid and/or Senior Management
