Minimum Qualifications
Master’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in business, behavioral sciences, sports management or a closely related field with two years of administrative duties in intercollegiate athletics that include compliance.
Communication, both oral and written, skills are necessary. Must have expert efficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel and Word).
Preferred Qualifications
Two years of increasingly responsible academic, career and personal coaching and admissions experience or other relevant instructional coaching responsibilities.

Announcement Summary
Fayetteville Technical Community College is seeking qualified applicants for this full-time, exempt position. The ability to effectively work in a fast paced environment, handle multiple tasks, resolve student issues and work well with others is critical to experiencing success in this position. Expertise in effectively communicating information and providing excellent customer service is essential to this position. Duties
The successful candidate will:
Participate in student-athlete registration activities, both on and off campus; STUDENT ATHLETICS LOGISTICS provide information and assistance to student-athletes regarding the registration process, financial aid eligibility, forms, deadlines, and requirements.
Work with coaches for all recruiting visits to begin the admissions process for students.
Participate in Athletic Department eligibility meetings to become proficient in and maintain athletic eligibility requirements.
Assist students with completing career assessments, developing a personal and academic plan to guide their educational journey, and choose an appropriate program of study that aligns to their life goals.
Serve as an advocate for student success and career development by forging relationships between faculty, students, and staff members of the College.
Provide follow-up response for Early Intervention process with student and/or faculty/staff and serve as a liaison between student services and academics for the student athlete and others.
Provide supportive environment for students and assist in making appropriate recommendations and referrals to enhance students educational experience and assist in creating a sense of belonging, resilience and developing a growth mindset for students.
Refer students to outside community agencies as appropriate for guidance and support and opportunities for community service; coordinate with students to access internal support services including but not limited to tutoring, interpreting, note taking, male mentoring, college connections, success closet, and other student support endeavors.
Participate in researching complex problems and discrepancies in records, transcripts, and course schedules related to student-athletes and others.
Prepare weekly, monthly, and term class, enrollment, and attendance reports. Verify the academic progress and registration of student-athletes with faculty as required to assure eligibility, making referrals when necessary for student support to include tutoring services.
Monitor student athletes and students participation and completion of academic and other interventions stemming from referrals.
Coordinate and/or provide training regarding College policies and procedures relating to student-athletes and NJCAA rules.
Review and evaluate completeness of files and records; request information as needed.
Process purchase requests for the athletic department for equipment and other support needs.
Process travel requests for teams and staff as needed for team travel.
Maintain general knowledge for student-athlete academic eligibility requirements. Assist in developing and maintaining the necessary eligibility records for compliance with NJCAA rules.
Perform special projects and assignments as needed.
Work varied hours and attend home games/matches. This will include weekends and nights.
Compose and type routine office correspondence, memoranda, and statistical reports.
Perform related duties as assigned.
