Minimum Qualifications

Minimum Requirements (Applicant must meet all of the minimum requirements)

1. Must have a minimum of an Associate’s degree;
2. Must have a minimum of two years of full-time or equivalent experience working in student services or one year of full-time or equivalent experience working in financial aid;
3. Must have experience with Microsoft Office.

1. Must have a minimum of two years of full-time or equivalent experience working in financial aid;
2. Proficiency in a foreign language such as Spanish, an East Slavic language, and/or American Sign Language.

Position Description

Job Description Summary

Assists students, prospective students, and parents with all aspects of financial aid both in person and via phone and email communications. Ensures excellent customer service by guiding students through the completion of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), intake, assessment, and verification of supporting documentation, providing financial aid assistance, and outreach to high school educators and other target markets.

Duties

1. Assists students on phone and in person, answering detailed questions about financial aid.

2. Evaluates submitted documentation and forms for accuracy and compliance.

3. Scans and routes necessary information and forms into SIS and document imaging systems.

4. Performs quality assurance during the verification of requested documents.

5. Processes outside agency forms.

6. Assists with student correspondence and reports as needed.

7. Enters student information into the National Student Loan Data System (NSLDS) and Common Origination Disbursement (COD)

information.

8. Contributes to the College Vision, Mission, Values, and RISE statement.

9. Supports workforce diversity in all its aspects.

10. Performs other job-related responsibilities as required.
