Minimum Qualifications

Associate’s degree in Business, Accounting, Medical Office Administration, Office Administration or related field from a regionally accredited institution. Two years' experience in nonprofit and/or a foundation preferred. Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred. Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills required. Experience with database management, Raiser’s Edge or ADAVICO, Academic Works or other donor management software preferred. Candidate must be independent, self-motivated and dedicated with keen attention to detail.

Job Description

 

This position within the Institutional Advancement department provides administrative support of fundraising events and programs. Manages donor information, completing business accounting tasks including but not limited to handling deposits in Raiser’s Edge (which will transition to ADAVICO) and extensive sorting and merging of contact records for mass mailings using Microsoft Excel and Word. Works with Business Office and ADAVICO team to ensure smooth transition between software suites. Ensures all Foundation communications are accurate and timely. Maintains organized electronic filing system and record keeping. Exhibits assertion and keen attention to detail in proofreading and ensuring error-free work.

 

Essential Responsibilities

 

 

  • Utilizes donor management software (Raiser’s Edge transitions to ADAVICO) and advanced Microsoft Office Excel and Word skills to export and merge data in preparing mass mailings and providing reports. 
  • Responsible for managing contact information and donor gift and scholarship reconciliation via Raiser’s Edge (ADAVICO) and Academic Works with Business Office in the accounting of the NCC Foundation
  • Prepares deposits and works closely with Business Office to ensure proper coding and placement of funds in appropriate accounts.
  • Works with Coordinator of Donor and Alumni Relations to ensure accurate and complete alumni database records; capture contact, biographical and career information of alumni via surveys, projects (e.g. alumni directory), correspondence, website, postal returns, etc.
  • Assists in organizing and coordinating fundraising campaigns and other campus events by providing administrative support.
  • Composes and generates gift acknowledgements and general correspondence.
  • Assists in preparing for Foundation meetings.
  • Maintains communication with NCC Foundation Board of Directors, at direction of Vice President.
  • Maintains a master list of available scholarships and scholarship criteria in Microsoft Excel.
  • Works with Financial Aid office to update scholarship information in Academic Works.
  • Promote NCC Foundation on Facebook page.
  • Participate in professional development activities provided by NCC. 
  • Maintain regular and consistent on-site attendance during normal hours of college operations in fulfillment of duties not inconsistent with the expectations for full-time employees and College policies and procedures.
  • Initiate and answer telephone calls and video conference calls.
  • Participate in College events and activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned which contribute to the efficient and effective operation of NCC.
  • Serve on various committees as assigned.
