Position Description
This position supports the office of the Provost/Chief Campus Officer--Perry Health Sciences, providing assistance with administrative tasks and representing the Provost/CCO when appropriate
Responsibilities and Duties (*Essential Functions):

*Provides administrative and technical assistance to the Provost/CCO
*Plans, coordinates, and ensures the Provost's schedule is followed and respected
*Prepares, processes, and verifies assigned paperwork, such as reports, memos, etc. from the Office of the Provost/CCO, and routes it to its intended recipient in a timely manner
*Provides "gatekeeper" and "gateway" role, creating win-win situations for direct access to the CCO's time and office
*Maintains the budget for the service area and tracks budget expenses throughout the year including compiling budget information for travel, technology, supplies, and equipment
*Prioritizes conflicting needs: handles matters expeditiously, proactively, and follows through on projects to successful completion, often with deadline pressures
*Communicates directly, and on behalf of the CCO, with college staff and others, on matters related to the area's programmatic initiatives
Maintains confidential employee information and filing as needed
Prepares correspondence, reports, and information of a routine nature
Communicates with the client, the general public, contractors, vendors, supervises, peers or subordinates providing appropriate information in writing, verbally or in person, respectively
Schedules meetings, training, workshops, retreats, special events, etc. as directed by the Provost/CCO and other college service areas, assists with the preparation of information and provides oversight of all arrangements
Coordinates operations requiring collaboration among multiple service areas, such as the relocation of faculty and staff and the allocation of physical resources; redistributes excess furniture and equipment to other campuses as needed
Performs special projects and assignments as directed
Assists in the preparation, organization, and delivery of material for meetings and events
Maintains an effective document management system (electronic and paper)
Completes annual applied benchmark project on an individual or group basis
