Minimum Qualifications

  • Experience working with virtual reality platforms
  • Knowledge of Meta accounts and how they interact with VR equipment, software, and operating systems

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate degree in a related field from a regionally accredited institution

Position Description

Position Summary

The Virtual Reality Assistant manages complex requests to be executed on and in the creation, development, and execution of virtual reality course material. Position will report to the Coordinator of Distance Learning.
 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for troubleshooting, reporting, and client consultation requests specifically for the virtual reality use within targeted courses
  • Collaborate with faculty to develop, assess, and revise VR course materials
  • Train faculty on the use of VR equipment and software as needed
  • Develop, implement, and monitor a plan for the update and maintenance of assigned VR equipment
  • Must maintain knowledge of various computer software programs and capabilities, including the latest software applications and operating systems for immersive learning within a virtual reality environment for an educational setting
  • Pay close attention to detail, maintain confidentiality, and work independently of supervision
  • Deliver excellent customer care
  • Apply critical thinking, problem solving, and sound judgment skills at all times
  • Display a service-oriented attitude and willingness to learn
  • Utilize effective customer service skills and patience to work with all types of employees
  • Maintain a positive attitude
  • Other general duties as assigned
