Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Sports Management, Physical Education, or related field; or a combination of education and experience commensurate with the requirements of this position
- Two or more years of progressively responsible experience in the administration of an athletic program
- Demonstrated ability to conduct fundraising outreach to community partners
- Ability to interpret, comprehend, and apply complex federal, state, association, and college laws, rules, and requirements
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in a public setting
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills
- A commitment to the goals, standards, and ethics of Central Carolina Community College, and the ability to effectively communicate and obtain adherence to these concepts

Position Description

The CCCC Athletic Director (part-time) will be responsible for the general oversight, administration, fundraising, and promotion of the Central Carolina Community College athletic programs.

Essential Duties
- Ensures that the College, coaches, and athletes meet or exceed the requirements of the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA).
- Actively promotes all Central Carolina athletic programs, insures timely sports information is provided to NJCAA and CCCC Marketing representative
- Works in conjunction with Foundation Executive Director to secure private investments for the Cougar Athletic programs.
- Participates in the hiring of and supervises all Central Carolina Community College coaches and trainers.
- Arranges facilities for practice and team competition, coordinates athletic contests, and oversees travel arrangements for the athletic teams.
- Attends meetings of the NJCAA athletic directors.
- Oversees decisions regarding eligibility and discipline using College and the NJCAA guidelines.
- Is responsible for the budget of the athletic department.
- Assists coaches in their efforts to recruit student athletes.
- Compiles information and statistics for the Title IX Report on athletic program support and participation rate, and insures that this and other required reports are made and distributed in a timely manner.
- Must be willing to work nights and weekends for athletic events.
- Performs other related tasks as required.
