Minimum Qualifications

MINIMUM EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associate degree from an accredited college required.
  • Must be previously certified and licensed to operate a forklift.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must have a valid driver’s license and a good driving record. 
  • Working knowledge of operating standard office equipment and related tools and technology required.  
  • Strong organization and recordkeeping skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks required.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to lift, carry, push, and/or pull 50 pounds.
  • Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, stoop, and reach, including reaching overhead.
  • Occasional exposure to elements such as noise, dust, and odors.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a customer facing environment, 3 years preferred.

Auxiliary Services Coordinator is a full-time staff employee under the direct supervision of the Managing Director of Purchasing and Auxiliary Services. The position is responsible for delivering excellent services to the Rhino Shop, Shipping and Receiving, and the printshop/mailroom. 

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Rhino Shop

 

  1. Aid and services to students needing help finding course materials needed for academic success.  This same level of service is to be maintained to all stakeholders including all employees and the general public.  
  2. Provide a positive customer experience to all who enter the store with friendly and courteous service.  
  3. Registers daily sales on POS cash register scanning UPC barcodes 
  4. Assist with third party sales, financial aid, and scholarship purchases for students to purchasing course materials needed for their classes. 
  5. Receive merchandise and assist in displaying and restocking.  
  6. Prepare books to be returned to publishers for credit.  Includes packing weighing and using shipping software to schedule pick-ups from the store.  
  7. Assist with in-store inventory at fiscal year-end or as needed.        
  8. Work with Rhino Shop Assistant/Merchandise Buyer for daily assignments.
  9. Provide sales at athletic events as assigned if needed.  
  10. Maintain a knowledge of college calendar and stay abreast of college-related events.  
  11. Fold, hang, and display rhino gear and keep store in orderly appearance.
  12. Perform other related duties as assigned to the work described herein.

 

Shipping and Receiving

  1. Perform shipping and receiving duties; coordinate the shipping and receiving operation; and lead, guide, and direct others in the Shipping and Receiving Department. 
  2. Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations. 
  1. Load and unload freight both manually and using a variety of material handling equipment such as a forklift and a pallet jack.
  2. Prepare and ship items accurately using proper packing methods, including items originating at the College and damaged goods being returned.
  3. Receive items for all College facilities. Inspect and verify that orders are correct before submitting paperwork; check for shortages, overages, damages, and proper purchase order numbers.
  4. Provide pickup and delivery service to all College facilities, including furniture, equipment, and supplies such as books and paper for copiers and printers.
  5. Assemble furniture and other equipment as required and record serial numbers on all new equipment.
  6. Maintain all surplus items including inventory management and preparation for pickup.
  7. Maintain inventory records as needed by adding/deleting supplies as they are shipped or received.
  1. Maintain and expect professionalism in the performance of duties. Foster collaboration, collegiality, and support to maximize efficiency and effectiveness with an emphasis on customer service.
  1. Perform other related duties incidental to the work herein described.

 

Printshop and Mailroom

 

  1. Assist the Printshop with day-to-day operations such as delivering paper across campuses as needed. Assist with inventory management, proper deliveries, and coordinating projects.
  2. Assist Mailroom with mail runs to Kimbrell campus and Lincoln campus as needed.
