Position Description
GENERAL FUNCTION:
Under the general supervision of the Multicultural WFD Director, the applicant must be able to translate both in English and in Spanish to assist English-speaking instructors to communicate with Spanish speaking students. The candidate will be able to communicate with instructor and students.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Be punctual
- Communicate with instructor and program director at all times
- Will assists the program Director with any construction bilingual programs requiring an interpreter such as blueprint reading, etc.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned
- Confidentiality is extremely imperative. Brunswick Community College follows FERPA guidelines
Must be:
- Be Proficient both in reading, writing, and communication skills in Spanish and English
- Ability to communicate and explain to students
- Familiar with construction vocabulary and industry
- Ability to follow instructions
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned
