Minimum Requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalent

Three years' previous work experience in a clerical position

Must be able to commit to a schedule of 7:30 am – 12:30 pm, Monday – Friday, as well as occasional evening and weekend hours

Preferred Qualifications

 Associate's degree in Office Systems Technology or a related field

Experience in supporting secondary education administration

Experience with scheduling of student courses, the scheduling of employee work hours, or scheduling use of facilities

Position Description

This position is part of a state-wide Bionetwork program funded by the North Carolina Community College System.  Wake Technical Community College serves as the fiscal agent for this position.  Daily operational and supervisory activities are conducted and managed by North Carolina Community College System personnel.

This position is responsible for providing administrative support for faculty and staff at the BioNetwork Capstone Center.  This position is 62.5%,  permanent, part time-25 hours per week.


 Responsibilities and Duties (*Essential Functions):To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the essential job functions satisfactorily.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the primary job functions herein described.  

*Prepares and supports classrooms and materials for course delivery
*Ensures all paperwork and reports are submitted accurately and by established deadlines
*Maintains course files and relevant paperwork for BioNetwork and the College
*Processes student refunds
*Orders printed course materials
*Communicates weekly regarding upcoming course enrollment
Orders and maintains stock of office supplies
Maintains an organized and current course materials library
Sends course confirmation and parking emails to all students
Communicates with clientele regarding inquiries to BioNetwork services
Provides additional administrative and technical support as needed
Assists director and staff with other tasks and projects as assigned
