Ability to travel for required meetings and training at other locations-- overnight or day long trips may be required
Ability to adhere to required work schedule 7:30 am - 4:30 pm, Monday-Friday
Ability to work occasional night or weekend hours, as required
Minimum Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Three years' experience in an office environment
Valid Driver's license and clean driving record
Preferred Qualifications
Associate's degree in Office Systems Technology, Business, Computer Information Systems or related field
Knowledge of Colleague and Informer
Familiarity with Dropbox and Google platforms
Experience working in a Community College setting
Other experience working in a higher education environment
Position Description
The BioNetwork Capstone Center Technical Assistant reports to the BioNetwork Capstone Center Program Coordinator and is responsible for providing support to BioNetwork leadership, students, and instructors for open enrollment, customized training and sponsored course offerings.
This position is part of the North Carolina Community College System BioNetwork initiative, and has local, regional, and statewide responsibilities. Wake Technical Community College serves as the fiscal agent for this position. Daily operational and supervisory activities are conducted and managed by North Carolina Community College System personnel.
Responsibilities and Duties (*Essential Functions)

*Provides administrative and technical support for the Capstone Center, including all course and administrative functions, documentation, and communications
*Serves as first point of contact for BioNetwork guests and students, including promptly responding to all service inquiries from prospective students, companies, and colleges, providing general information, and making internal referrals as appropriate
*Acts as primary enrollment contact for participant questions, enrollment, refunds and withdrawals, certificates, grades, location information, parking, and billing
*Responds to course and registration inquiries from the course reservation system
*Processes and verifies all class documentation, such as registration forms, enrollment reports, memos, and instructor contracts are complete for each section
*Orders course handouts and other printed materials, prepare course packets, and processes, maintain and organize stored course materials
*Prepares instructor contracts, contract changes, and monthly payroll
Reviews and verifies for accuracy expenditure and travel requests; copies and files all monthly travel expenditures and routes them to appropriate personnel for payment
Maintains the completeness, accuracy, and maintenance of BioNetwork course files in compliance with state audit guidelines
Collaborates with the BioNetwork Administrative team to ensure documentation consistency and communication.
Sends weekly internal and external communications regarding upcoming courses and enrollment numbers
Utilizes the BioNetwork website and Wake Tech's Colleague program to manage course data and metrics
Provides additional support to the administrative team and BioNetwork leadership as needed or requested in conjunction with the College's goals and core values
Serves on workgroups in development and revision of administrative SOPs as necessary
Attends required meetings and training on site or at other locations requiring overnight or day travel
