Minimum Qualifications
Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; and one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office required.

Position Description
Under the direction of bookstore manager, provides assistance in the operation of a full-service campus bookstore, print shop, mail room, and receiving area. Accountabilities include assisting customers with all central services, helping customers in the purchase of books and/or supplies, receiving incoming shipments, sorting the daily mail, reconciling reports, and performing data entry. Excellent communication and customer service skills are required to interact with a variety of students, faculty, staff and vendors for various reasons including information dissemination, providing general assistance and problem-solving.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Perform point of sale functions, using Booklog software, to include but not limited to purchase/receiving, book returns, inventory and price/scan of textbooks and supplies for resale in the bookstore. Make change adhering to safe cash handling procedures including balancing cash drawer and preparing bank deposits.
Stock incoming inventory.
Assist with the preparation of all monthly, quarterly, and annual reports of the bookstore inventory.
Processes print requests from various departments within the institution by operating high-speed printing equipment, including color and black-and-white production units.
Design formats for printing projects; compose and/or assist in layouts and related graphic arts work; use desktop publishing to assist in design work.
Prepare billing for print shop services and maintain printing requests records.
Sorts daily mail; Inspects incoming shipments and compares packing slip with purchase order to verify accuracy. Electronically receives purchase orders in Colleague.
Provide excellent customer service and maintain liaison with all print shop and mailroom customers to assure needs are being met and to resolve customer concerns. Work cooperatively with team members and colleagues, contributing positively and constructively to the achievement of team and College objectives.
