Minimum Qualifications
Master’s degree in Business Administration, Juris Doctorate, or closely related field. Three or more years of business industry experience to be documented in the application packet.
Communication, both oral and written, skills necessary. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).
Preferred Qualifications
Teaching experience in institutions of higher education in the areas of management or business law. Online teaching experience using Blackboard. Two or more years of managerial experience in business.
Position Description
Provide instruction in the field of business administration with a primary focus in the areas of management and business law.
Provide quality and engaging instruction for face-to-face, hybrid, online, and blended classes to include days, evenings, and weekends both on and off campus.
Incorporate latest instructional technologies in course delivery and utilize interactive learning technologies to engage students in the teaching and learning process.
Assist in recruiting new students into the program.
Advise and register students who are in the program.
Monitor and improve student retention and completion.
Provide recommendations for program changes based on industry trends and input from the advisory board.
Provide input on program reviews, define and keep student learning outcomes current, ensure assessments are aligned to student learning outcomes business requirements, and other departmental activities.
Periodically evaluate skill requirements of business and industry and revise existing and/or develop new courses.
Update existing courses for relevancy and currency consistent with the role and mission of the College.
Maintain face-to-face and/or online classroom environments conducive to student learning, engagement, retention, and completion.
Maintain accurate scholastic and membership records of students enrolled in classes and prepare and submit reports as required.
Provide quality customer service to students, faculty, and staff.
Continually develop and improve instructional skills and content knowledge through professional development.
Participate in faculty committees and other activities as assigned.
