Position Description
The Business Services Project Manager oversees and manages Business Services projects for construction, renovations, relocations and fixed asset procurement.
Responsibilities and Duties (*Essential Functions)

*Directs collaborations between vendors and College stakeholders for furniture acquisitions for offices, classrooms and labs for new construction, renovations, reconfigurations and relocations.
*Coordinates and oversees furniture and equipment installation with external vendors and internal departments
*Plans and implements relocations for personnel, classrooms, labs, offices, etc. across multiple campuses in coordination with Chief Campus Officers, Facilities, ITS, and Warehouse
*Verifies furniture and equipment quotes for accuracy prior to submission to the state for approval
Tracks project expenditures and makes adjustments as needed to ensure all projects remain within budget
Represents Business Services at construction meetings to ensure College outfitting needs are addressed from beginning of the project to the end
Creates and designs layouts for classrooms, labs and offices using measurements of existing furniture and equipment to satisfy the requested changes of the stakeholders and administration
Supervises compliant property control processes for equipment, fixed asset inventory, surplus management and required reporting to the North Carolina Community College System
Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Intermediate skills with MS Office products, including Excel and Word
Ability to measure spaces accurately
Demonstrate an understanding of PDF floor plans and exhibit the ability to determine best use of space for classroom and office setups
Ability to exhibit strong interpersonal skills and work well with others
Ability to maintain records accurately and be able to meet deadlines consistently
Strong organizational skills
Ability to work on multiple tasks and projects with minimum supervision
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Exceptional customer relations skills
Ability to work occasional evening or weekend hours as needed for projects
Ability to travel to multiple campus sites
