Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university and two years of increasingly responsible career coaching and admissions experience or other relevant coaching responsibilities. Excellent communication, both oral and written, skills necessary. Must have expert efficiency in Microsoft Office (Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).

Announcement Summary
Fayetteville Technical Community College is seeking qualified applicants for a full-time Career Coach position. The ability to effectively plan, organize and coordinate the activities of Career and College Promises (CCP), to provide highly responsible academic and administrative support to the assigned Director, High School Connections Coordinator and Dean of Enrollment Management is critical to experiencing success in this position. A comprehensive understanding of the principles, objectives, and philosophy of student support services within the framework of the College’s mission statement is essential. Qualified candidates will possess well developed interpersonal, communication, organizational skills; excellent computer skills; demonstrate evidence of a career that includes flexibility and adaptation to change; open-mindedness and mediation proficiency with the ability to see multiple perspectives; a willingness to take risks, and must be motivated toward professional and personal growth.
Duties
The successful candidate will:
Work in collaboration with high school counselors, high school career development coordinators, and High School Connections Coordinator.
Provide college and career advising and registration assistance with enrollment in CCP pathways.
Maintain records for enrollment, tracking, and reporting purposes.
Participate in any school related activities in which CCP pathways can be promoted (e.g. Parent Nights).
Manage college textbooks at high school sites.
Provide intervention, resources, and strategies for students in need of academic support.
Work with the Career and College advising team to ensure CCP and college enrollment goals are met and college pathway materials and instructional supplies are disseminated.
Participate in team meetings and professional development activities as directed by the High School Connections Coordinator.
Engage students, counselors, faculty, parents, and all stakeholders in information sessions related to college success and CCP advising sessions on related topics.
Maintain quality partnerships with secondary school personnel in collaboration with the High School Connections Coordinator
Other duties as assigned by High School Connections Coordinator.
