Bachelors Degree required. Must have experience with Microsoft products, including Word and Excel and strong communication skills to assist students, parents, faculty, staff, and the general public. Exemplary interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills required. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment is required. One year of relevant experience is required.
The candidate must possess strong written and interpersonal skills, organizational skills, and the ability to manage time, prioritize work and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. The individual must possess a strong work ethic; the ability to work individually and as a team member; and the ability to maintain confidentiality of student records in compliance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). The candidate must have excellent customer/student service skills in working with constituencies across the institution including staff at all levels, faculty, students, and committees.
Experience with the Colleague computer system is preferred. A National Career Readiness Certificate and bilingual are preferred.
Primary responsibilities include serving as an informational resource to students and potential students regarding career pathways available at WCC; assisting students with completing the admissions intake process; conducting acceptance interviews; assisting students with registration; and scheduling, administration and interpretation of placement tests. Additional responsibilities include entering and maintaining accurate applicant and student information in Colleague/SoftDocs and participation in recruitment and retention activities. Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
