Minimum Qualifications
A Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution and one year of relevant experience is required. Must have experience with Microsoft Office to include Word and Excel. Exemplary interpersonal, communication, organizational and customer service skills to assist in working with constituencies across the institution including students, faculty, staff at all levels, and the general public. Excellent time management skills needed to prioritize work, handle multiple tasks simultaneously and work in a fast-paced environment is required. The individual must possess a strong work ethic; the ability to work individually and as a team member; and the ability to maintain confidentiality of student records in compliance with the Federal Family Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with the Ellucian Colleague system is preferred. A National Career Readiness Certificate and bilingual are preferred.
Position Description
Primary responsibilities include assisting students with completing the admissions intake process. Conducting acceptance interviews, registrations, scheduling, administration, and interpretation of placement test. Serve as an informational resource to students and potential students regarding career pathways available at Wayne Community College. Additional responsibilities include entering and maintaining accurate applicant and student information in Colleague/SoftDocs and participation in recruitment and retention activities. Perform other duties as assigned.
