Position Description

Sandhills Community College is seeking applications for a Full-Time CCR Data and Program Support Specialist. This position is responsible for providing technical assistance to the Literacy Education Information System (LEIS) Coordinator/Chief High School Equivalency Examiner and other CCR Staff to include the input, maintenance, analysis, and approvals of all LEIS data to ensure accuracy and timely submissions. This position is also responsible for providing program and administrative support to the College and Career Readiness Department.

ANTICIPATED HIRING RANGE: $38,000 - $42,000 annually.

Essential Functions 

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  1. Work closely with CCR staff to collect, evaluate, and input student LEIS data into the state data system, ADVANSYS, and/or Ellucian Colleague
  2. Assist with monitoring and approving LEIS data to ensure the efficient flow of operations, timely submission, and integrity of data.
  3. Assisting with the entry of attendance, as needed, auditing, and approving attendance entries.
  4. Demonstrate knowledge of National Reporting System and NCCCS assessment policies and metrics for the achievement of Measurable Skills Gains.
  5. Process weekly reports monitoring students’ post-testing needs and distribute them to appropriate CCR staff.
  6. Work closely with CCR staff to maintain accurate records, and prepare and update department forms, files, and documents maintained on Share Point.  
  7. Assist with the creation and set up of CCR class section builds in the data system.
  8. Serve as a backup with CCR payroll duties which include receiving, reviewing, and processing part-time staff timesheets, updating current contracts, etc. as needed. 
  9.  Demonstrates servant leadership, strong communication, and effective team-building skills.
  10.  Conduct visits to Hoke Center, Robbins Center, or other CCR class locations to assist staff with training related to LEIS data completion and attendance entry needs.
  11. Assist with new student intake and orientation as needed.
  12. Attend CCR Department and Continuing Education meetings.
  13. Complete additional assignments as directed.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Attends a minimum of 12 hours of staff development per year as directed by Director.
  • Serves on boards/committees.
  • Other duties as assigned.
