Minimum Qualifications

Associate Degree 

Two years of experience in database management 

Preferred Qualifications

One year of experience with the Literacy Education Information System and Ellucian Colleague/Datatel   

One year or more of successful student intake experience in a community college College and Career Readiness (Basic Skills) area

Current certifications for TABE and/or BEST test administration

Experience working with OnBase electronic record management and Entrinsik Informer

Position Description

Pay Grade: Specialist 8

This position provides Literacy Education Information System (LEIS) management, auditing and processing expertise to ensure LEIS compliance and to support performance management objectives

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES (*ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):

*Manages the Literacy Education Information System (LEIS) by completing tasks such as: receives directives from the Program Performance Director and coordinates implementation amongst LEIS team; addresses compliance and accuracy issues with the Program Performance Director; resolves, together with the director, problems with LEIS programming and data processing; assists with training of CCR Staff and key personnel on LEIS policies, updates and patches; and supervises LEIS data processing and filing

*Maintains data security and the proper storage and disposal of student records

*Enforces College and Career Readiness data collection and compliance polices 

 *Analyzes and processes Literacy Education Information System forms

*Develops, generates, evaluates weekly, monthly, semester, and annual data reports for CCR program to ensure compliance. Assist in monitoring attendance and post-testing records to communicate with director and coordinators.

*Creates new student records in Colleague utilizing all information on the LEIS form

*Updates CCR graduate file, maintains communication with appropriate staff to ensure accurate reporting

Assists with LEIS patch release implementation

Works with Testing Services and Advising department to identify and resolve errors with placement and post-test scores entered in Colleague

Assists the PPA Technologist with the monthly and semi-annual Professional Activity Reports (PAR's) for all CCR employees in compliance with federal and state time and effort reporting requirements

Participates in new student intake and registration process

Assists in tracking CCR department's compliance with WIOA, National Reporting System, and NCCCS policies and inform staff and management of related progress and concerns

Participates in local and statewide performance and data management training as well as participates in departmental and college-wide professional development activities and proactively seeks out external opportunities to facilitate professional growth 

Completes an annual applied benchmark project on an individual or group basis
