  • Must have full command of a broad range of fiber techniques used as an artistic medium
  • Techniques include: Weaving; Felting; Knitting; Crochet; and Macrame
  • Must have good interpersonal skills

  • Associate Degree

Position Description

GENERAL FUNCTION:

Under regular instruction and supervision the employee will teach the basics of Fabric Arts.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Candidate must be proficient in both verbal and written communications
  • Requires lesson planning, project based learning activities, and classroom instruction
  • Must have full command of a broad range of fiber techniques used as an artistic medium
  • Techniques include: Weaving; Felting; Knitting; Crochet; and Macrame
  • Prepares, administer, and grade assignments and examinations in a timely manner
  • Maintains a safe, clean and orderly shop ready for class

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Three years of adult education experience

  • Techniques include: Weaving; Felting; Knitting; Crochet; and Macrame
