Fayetteville Technical Community College is seeking qualified applicants for this full-time position. The ability to effectively plan and execute educational programs for children is critical to experiencing success in this position. Expertise in developmentally appropriate child care practices is essential. Qualified candidates will possess excellent computer skills, demonstrate evidence of flexible work experiences and willingness to change; open-mindedness, fairness, and the ability to see multiple perspectives; a willingness to take and manage risks, and willingness to accept responsibility for professional and personal growth.

Duties

The successful candidate will:

Establish positive relationships with children, parents, staff, faculty, students, and general public.

Share information and involve parents in the care and education of their child.

Maintain accurate and confidential records on each child’s attendance, developmental progress that includes regular formal observations, assessment results, samples of child’s work and information shared by parents.

Maintain clean and orderly classroom.

Maintain accurate records of student participation and equipment accountability.

Model developmentally appropriate teaching techniques consistent with classroom training.

Maintain a safe, healthy, and attractive learning environment.

Perform other professional duties as requested by supervisor
