Minimum Qualifications
• DDS, DMD or DD Degree. NOTE: Degrees and hours must be from a college accredited by a United States Department of Education accepted accrediting agency such as SACSCOC.
• N.C. DDS License.
• One year or more of experience.
• Current CPR certification.
• Understand and be committed to the unique nature and role of the College.
Preferred Qualifications
One year or more of experience training students in a Dental Clinic.
Position Description
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
• Assume responsibility for training Dental Assisting students and treating patients in the Dental Clinic as designated by the Program Coordinator and approved by the Dean.
• Assume responsibility for maintaining annual OSHA and Bloodborne Pathogens training as well as annual educational methodology training as required by CODA.
• Make recommendations to the Clinical Coordinator regarding Clinical protocol and procedures.
• Make recommendations to Program Coordinator for supplies, equipment, and equipment repairs.
• Participate in the assessment of student clinical performance.
• Provide constructive feedback and remediation to students to improve clinical performance.
• Assume responsibility for being familiar with and adhering to all policies of the College.
