Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in nursing from an accredited institution required

Subject matter education and/or training and experience that have both the breadth and depth needed to ensure effectiveness in the appropriate subject areas per the guidelines as adopted by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools and any appropriate governing agency

Hold a current, unrestricted license to practice as a registered nurse in North Carolina

Work experience includes two calendar years or the equivalent of full-time clinical experience as a registered nurse

Demonstrated clinical experience in obstetrics is required

Prior to or within the first three years of employment, have education in teaching and learning principles for adult education, including curriculum development, implementation, and evaluation, appropriate to faculty assignment

Demonstrated effective and professional written and oral communication skills and organizational skills

Position Description

Part-time Clinical Nursing nsructor responsibilities include faciliating obstetrics clinical from 0645-1515 for associate degree nursing students. Space available at:
Iredell Health System day shift (Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday)
Davis Regional Medical Center day shift (Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday)
Lake Norman Regional day shift (Tuesday or Thursday)

Dates are August 8, 2022 to November 11, 2022

ESSENTIAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITES:
Implement appropriate course goals and objectives along with evaluation methods that accurately measure student learning

Be thoroughly prepared for each instructional responsibility

Conduct clinical activities that are consistent with course objectives

Accurately complete and submit all required paperwork and student records by stated deadlines

Related Responsibilities:
Complete and submit in a timely manner paperwork such as grade reports, financial forms, class coverage forms and others as necessary for the efficient and effective operation of the College;

Work with program advisory committee as appropriate

Work with area or program coordinator and Division Dean or DIrector to order needed equipment and supplies

Comply with College policies and procedures

Remain current in the field of study

Participate in and help to develop recruitment and retention activities

Work cooperatively with faculty, staff and students in a congenial and professional mannger

Exhibit a commitment to community college education and the concept of a learning-centered, open admissions institution

Demonstrated effective and professional written and oral communication skills and organizational skills

Commitment to the College's diversity and inclusion initiatives

Perform other duties as assigned

Demonstrated a thorough knowledge of the subject(s) taught

Demonstrated ability to plan and organize clinical

Physical Effort:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to move for an extended period; operate and position computers, as needed; and frequently communicate with students. The employee may occasionally move up to 30 pounds.
