Announcement Summary
Fayetteville Technical Community College is seeking a candidate to plan, organize, and coordinate the activities of the Career and College Promises program(CCP), to provide highly responsible academic and administrative support to the Coordinator of High School Connections.
To be successful in this position, this individual must possess the ability to effectively work in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple tasks, resolve student issues, and work well with others. Ability to effectively communicate information and provide excellent customer service is essential. Qualified candidates will possess excellent computer skills, demonstrate evidence of flexible work experiences, and possess a willingness to change; be open-minded, fair, and see and appreciate multiple perspectives; be willing to take risks and accept responsibility for professional and personal growth.
Duties
Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
Manage the CCP Program at assigned high schools.
Work in collaboration with high school counselors, high school career development coordinators, and the High School Connections Coordinator.
Provide college and career advising and registration assistance in enrolling students in CCP pathways.
Maintain records for enrollment, tracking, and reporting purposes.
Participate in any school related activities in which CCP pathways can be promoted (e.g. Parent Nights).
Potentially teach CCP courses.
Manage college textbooks at high school sites.
Provide interventions, resources, and strategies to students needing of academic support.
Work with the Career and College advising team to ensure college pathway materials and instructional supplies are disseminated and CCP and college enrollment goals are met.
Participate in team meetings and professional development activities as directed by the High School Connections Coordinator.
Engage students, counselors, faculty, parents, and stakeholders in information sessions related to college success and CCP advising sessions.
Maintain meaningful partnerships with secondary school personnel in collaboration with the High School Connections Coordinator.
Teach an ACA college course when assigned.
Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers.
Perform other duties as assigned by High School Connections Coordinator or Dean of Enrollment Management.
