Expected Work Hours

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required.
Skills and Abilities
- Ability to work effectively and collegially with others.
- Skilled in the use of computers and commitment to use of technology.
- Experience with current version of MS Office or similar programs.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Provide exceptional customer service with people internal and external to the institution.
- Familiarity with and appreciation for the mission of a comprehensive community college.

Preferred Qualifications
Two to three years of teaching experience preferred.
Position Description
- Instruct students face to face and virtually and devise lesson plans to address each student’s needs.
- Register students, assign courses, and counsel students.
- Interview and instruct students in the proper use of programmed materials, time records, course requirements and regulations for ABE and GED.
- Create, administer, grade, and maintain records of exams, activities, and reports for evaluation of student’s progress.
- Maintain individual files for students, including documentation of student progress.
- Submit all necessary records and reports to the program coordinator in a timely manner.
- Place and instruct College and Career Readiness students in specific software programs and promote an atmosphere conducive to learning.
- Develop strategies for student retention and maintain discipline and order in the classroom.
- Provide appropriate contract and calendar documentation of contract changes or site absences to designated person for internal/external auditing purposes.
- Respond in a timely fashion to information requests from colleagues, divisions, the College and all academic program needs.
- Be available to students via email, phone, or personal conferences.
- Maintain proficiency with all classroom equipment both on and off campus. Keep college equipment secure.
- Participate in the marketing, recruitment, and retention of students, faculty, and staff.
- Participate in graduation ceremonies.
- Participate in required meetings and events.
- Participate in professional development activities and College required training.
- Establish and cultivate effective relationships with community agencies, employers, and educational partners.
- Communicate effectively and work cooperatively with others in a collegial environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
