Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college/university and a minimum of three years’ teaching experience at the college level or adult level. In-depth knowledge of the subject area.
Excellent oral and written communication skills are necessary. Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience in teaching English in an adult setting is preferred.

Announcement Summary
Fayetteville Technical Community College is seeking qualified applicants for this full-time position located at the FTCC site on the Fort Bragg base. Qualified candidates must possess the ability to effectively teach English. Candidates must demonstrate expertise in subject content, program planning, curriculum design, and teaching methodologies and strategies. Eligible candidates will also possess excellent computer skills, demonstrate evidence of a career that includes flexible work experiences and a willingness to change; be open-minded, fair, and possess the ability to see multiple perspectives; be willing to take risks and accept responsibility for professional and personal growth.
Duties
Provide quality instruction in English for a face-to-face course to prepare individuals for the Armed Forces Classification Test, including but not limited to building vocabulary, improving reading comprehension, and teaching basic grammar.
Instruct class in arithmetic reasoning in order to participate in Army predictor testing.
Assist in recruiting new students into the program.
Advise and register students who are in the program.
Monitor and improve student retention.
Maintain class records.
Incorporate latest instructional technologies and interactive learning technologies in course delivery.
Assist in the design and update of course syllabi, curriculum review, revision, and development.
Maintain a safe, clean, and efficient classroom environment.
Continually develop and improve skills through professional development.
Participate in faculty committees and other activities as assigned.
