Minimum Qualifications

An Associate’s degree is required.  Must be a self-starter, team player, and have a demonstrated ability to work well with others.  Experience working in a secondary education environment advising and working with students and faculty from diverse backgrounds; and using Colleague, Self-Service, or similar institutional information sharing systems is required.  
 

Preferred Qualifications

A Bachelor’s degree is preferred.  A National Career Readiness Certificate and bilingual are preferred.
 

Position Description

The Specialist will provide assistance to the College Transfer Advising Center Director, including assistance with advising and monitoring academic progress of college transfer students to ensure completion of diplomas and degrees.  Duties include greet and assist students, staff, and the general public; and answer phone calls, direct calls, and respond to inquiries.  The Candidate will maintain inventory and place orders for materials needed for the College Transfer Advising Center and will perform other duties and tasks as assigned by the College Transfer Advising Center Director. 

If selected for employment, the applicant must submit to a criminal background check and drug screening.
