Minimum Qualifications
An Associate’s degree from a regionally accredited institution is required. Must be a self-starter, team player, and have a demonstrated ability to work well with others.
Preferred Qualifications
A Bachelor’s degree is preferred. Experience working in a post-secondary education environment is preferred. Advising and working with students and faculty from diverse backgrounds; and using Colleague, Self-Service, or similar institutional information-sharing systems is preferred. A National Career Readiness Certificate and bilingual in English and Spanish are preferred.
Position Description
The Specialist will provide assistance to the College Transfer Advising Center Director, including assistance with advising and monitoring the academic progress of college transfer students to ensure completion of diplomas and degrees. Duties include greeting and assisting students, staff, and the general public; answering phone calls, and direct calls, and responding to inquiries. The Candidate will maintain inventory and place orders for materials needed for the College Transfer Advising Center and will perform other duties and tasks as assigned by the College Transfer Advising Center Director.
