Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field

Three years of compensation experience

Preferred Qualifications

Five years of experience in the analysis, design, and/or administration of classification and compensation programs, preferably with an organization of at least 1000 employees.

Experience working as a liaison with an external compensation firm

Experience using an HRIS

Position Description

*Consults and collaborates with managers, supervisors, and HR consultants regarding position design and redesign, organizational design, creating and updating job descriptions, policy guidelines and classification and compensation best practices

*Conducts position analysis using established evaluation systems, and recommends actions concerning appropriate classification and pay level, ensuring internal equity and market competitiveness  

*Participates in compensation studies with Director of Compensation and third party consultants, including program design, analysis, budgeting, communications and new program implementation  

*Conducts wage and salary surveys and assists in formulating recommendations regarding updating salary structures and job revisions  

*Develops and documents procedures to streamline processes and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements  

*Determines FLSA status of classified positions in accordance with DOL guidelines  

Prepares status change memos and communicates position decisions and pay decisions  

Analyzes and determines classification and pay levels for part-time employees  

Conducts internal classification and compensation studies  

Assists in creating compensation related-policies and develops processes around the compensation program 

Provides training to managers and employees on classification and compensation related topics, i.e. FLSA, program guidelines  

Prepares reports, i.e. salary surveys, employee data, and staff information reports  

Completes an annual applied benchmark project on an individual or group basis
