Minimum Qualifications
A Bachelor’s degree in education, technology or a related area is required with one-to-three years of experience teaching online course delivery is required. Successful candidates must have experience in instructional technologies, with online software such as Odysseyware, Moodle, and ACT Career Readiness System. Knowledge of and experience with Colleague will be a plus. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary as well as a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with others. The candidate must be able to work flexible hours throughout the day, evening, and occasional weekends.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience using Colleague and bilingual are preferred.
Position Description
The Computer Based Learning Coordinator will coordinate and supervise the delivery of online courseware for Adult High School, High School Equivalency, Adult Basic Education, and English Language Acquisition. The Coordinator will evaluate and submit recommendations for the purchase of online software; track student progress, advise students, assist with development of instructional plans, and maintain student records for all computer-based courses. Duties include ensuring accurate and timely recordkeeping, and data entry in Colleague and Literacy Education Information System (LEIS); and collecting and analyzing data for weekly update reports, and end of semester statistical reports. Required to attend division and department meetings; attend graduation; complete required North Carolina Basic Skills Core Credential within two years of hire; complete other professional development on annual basis; and perform other duties as assigned.
