Any combination of experience and training that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be:
Experience:
Three years of increasingly responsible experience working with computers and application software related to assigned area of responsibility. One year of supervisory experience.
Training:
An Associate’s degree from an accredited College in Computer Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent.

Position Description
Essential Duties- Duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Develop, plan and implement computer lab changes/modifications; supervise routine maintenance and repairs on computer and peripheral equipment.
Train and supervise Computer Support Technicians in lab operations and user support services area.
Assist with configuring computer labs, monitoring security and customizing applications software and routines.
Assist in preparing College instructional labs and user support services area budget preparation.
Maintain contact with vendors, as required, for planning and maintenance activities of the College instructional labs and user support area.
Assist with managing and maintaining all computer software and licensing inventories of the College instructional labs and user support service areas.
Coordinate the technical operation of all academic labs and user support services area to help ensure compatibility.
Maintain instructional lab and user support services area hardware and applications software usage records.
Coordinate the maintenance of hardware and supply inventories for all College computing needs.
Provide technical data and advice to faculty, department chair, and deans on computer equipment, labs, software applications and budget development.
Provide guidance to Computer Support Technicians in preparation of hardware, software and supplies as needed to support academic requirements.
Attend workshops, conferences, and meetings related to assigned area of responsibility.
Perform related duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements:
Frequently required to stand, bend, stoop, kneel, crawl, and walk.
Occasionally required to climb stairs.
Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
Required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel object, tools, or controls, and reach with hands and arms.
Hear audible equipment indicators and verbal communications in the environment.
Must see with sufficient close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception; and focus adjustment to differentiate light/color intensity and evaluate perceivable changes in the environment.
