Minimum Qualifications
- Associate Degree or Certification in Plumbing from an accredited Institution or ten or more years of direct experience in the Plumbing field
- Current Plumbing license or ten or more years of direct experience
- Must be willing to obtain the National Center for Construction Education and Research Certification (NCCER)
- Must be able to work 8 to 15 hours a week day and/or evening classes
- Proven record of excellent computer skills
Preferred Qualifications
- National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) certification and teaching experience is a plus.
Position Description
GENERAL FUNCTION:
Responsibilities include but are not limited to: classroom and laboratory instruction, examination preparation and grading and preparing students for a rewarding career in Plumbing.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides students with hand on training as well as textbook training as needed to succeed in the Plumbing field
- Instruct students in the techniques of Plumbing
- Ensures that all necessary documentation is kept current and delivered in a timely manner
- Ensures that an accurate and current materials are being used in the classroom
- Willing to prepare and update material/outlines for adult learning styles
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Associate Degree or Certification in Plumbing from an accredited Institution or ten or more years of direct experience in the Plumbing field
