Minimum Qualifications
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Associate degree from a regionally accredited institution required.
- Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution preferred.
- Appropriate Continuous Improvement certifications required.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Business and Industry teaching and/or training experience required.
- Community college experience preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Up to 75% travel, with 2-3 overnight trips per week required.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Must be able to lift, carry, push, and/or pull up to 25 pounds.
- Frequent standing, walking, stooping, and bending required.

Position Description

~FULL-TIME/12-MONTH POSITION~
OCCUPATIONAL SUMMARY: The Continuous Improvement Regional Trainer is responsible for supporting training activities and services for approved Customized Training Program projects through coordination with Regional Customized Training Directors. This individual must be able to coordinate and deliver appropriate Lean and Six Sigma training and services for a variety of business and industry within the State.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Perform job-related tasks, duties, and assignments consistently at an acceptable level, as determined by the Vice President of Economic Development.
- Support training activities and services for approved Customized Training Program projects through coordination with the Regional Customized Training Directors and Community College Business and Industry Directors.
- Coordinate and deliver appropriate continuous improvement training and services for a variety of business and industry within the State.
- Plan, develop, and provide training and development programs using knowledge of the effectiveness of methods such as classroom training, demonstrations, on-the-job training, etc.
- Use excellent oral and written communication skills to organize, develop, or obtain training procedure manuals and guides, and instructional course materials such as handouts and visual materials.
- Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of the field or discipline with continued adherence to professional accountability.
- Provide a high level of service to customers by establishing and maintaining effective working relationships and partnerships.
- Relate well to students, co-workers, and general public.
- Adhere to the host college’s policies, procedures, and other established standard operating guidelines.
- Follow the host college’s calendar and participate in college activities as appropriate and directed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
