Minimum Qualifications
Associate’s degree in Business Administration from a regionally accredited institution of higher learning.
Three (3) years’ full-time related work experience.
North Carolina Contract Manager (NCCM) certification (or willingness to obtain within two years of hire date).
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from a regionally accredited institution of higher learning.
Procurement or contract management experience in the North Carolina Community College System.
Experience with E-Procurement.

Contracts Coordinator
SALARY:$40,000.00 - $45,000.00 Annually

OCCUPATIONAL SUMMARY:
The Contracts Coordinator is responsible for strategically overseeing, managing, evaluating and reviewing College-wide contracts to ensure proper contract compliance, performance and administration.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Directs contract management processes to manage acquisition, renewal, termination or extension of service contracts, licenses, cloud-based software subscriptions and warranties based on the terms of the agreement and business decisions concerning the contract life cycle
- Reviews MOUs, MOAs, clinical site agreements, contracts and other agreements for compliance with requirements, regulations and specifications
- Coordinates with the Dean of Technology Services to ensure that cybersecurity risk assessments for all technology related contract purchases are performed
- Prepares and administers amendment, addendum and renewal documentation for contractual agreements
- Resolves problems with vendors on contract performance
- Performs complex research through various methods to determine legality and conformance of proposed contracts; makes recommendations based on outcome of research
- Monitors compliance to contract requirements ensuring all conditions are satisfied before approval of the final invoice
- Establishes and updates records of all correspondence related to contract activity
- Initiates contract renewals to ensure existing contracts continue to meet compliance requirements
- Serves as the backup for travel processing
- Participates in appropriate committees and task forces as assigned
- Performs other job-related duties and projects as assigned in support of the College’s mission, core values and goals
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge
- Advanced knowledge of General Statutes, rules and regulations pertaining to procurement for the Purchasing and Contract Division and state government
- Knowledge of contract management
- Knowledge of contract documents and use of each
- Knowledge of communications and information technology equipment and services
- Policies, rules, regulations and procedures concerning travel
Skills
- Intermediate skills in MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel
- Skilled at creating and editing documents with a high degree of accuracy using proper grammar, punctuation and spelling
Abilities
- Demonstrated ability to interpret contract related laws, regulations and College policies and procedures
- Interact tactfully and courteously with vendors and employees to effectively resolve issues and provide responsive customer service
- Ability to research data and make recommendations on such
- Ability to prepare reports and present findings
- Work independently and prioritize to meet workload requirements and deadlines
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work
- Handle confidential information with absolute discretion
