Minimum Qualifications

Required:

  • Master's degree from a regionally accredited college or university.

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred:

  • Disability Services experience in an educational setting.
  • Maxient and Datatel experience.
  • Experience with a student conduct management system.
  • Title IX Investigator or Coordinator training.
  • Three years of increasingly responsible student services experience in a higher education setting with an emphasis on crisis intervention, student conduct, or accessibility services.
  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills.

Position Description

FLSA - Professional - Exempt

Salary is based on work experience. 

 

The role of the Coordinator, Accessibility and Student Conduct is to provide crisis intervention, assessment and referrals, advising, educational intervention services, assistance with recruitment and retention activities; and collaboration with faculty/staff to maintain high standards of student conduct and compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) (1990).

This position receives supervision from the Director, Admissions and Recruitment.

 

Examples of Duties

 

  • Develop educational accommodation notices for individuals with ADA recognized disabilities and provide notification to appropriate faculty.
  • Provide crisis intervention and community referrals to assist students with their personal, educational and career goals and success.
  • Provide case management for assigned early alerts to assist students with accessing academic and student support services.
  • Serve as academic advisor to accessibility students.
  • Respond to student complaints and grievances at the informal level in accordance with College policy.
  • Investigate reported student conduct and Title IX violations in accordance with College policy.
  • Develop and present specific professional development opportunities for College personnel regarding ADA and accessibility services and student conduct.
  • Develop and present specific student training for student conduct and Title IX in accordance with College policy.
  • Serve on College committees as assigned (ADA, Title IX Team, CARE Team and community SART).
  • Serve as Chair, adhoc ADA Accessibility Committee.
  • Process and maintain the Maxient Conduct Tracking System, to include all reports.
  • Compile and prepare annual reports for ADA and Title IX and assist with Clery Report.
  • Review specific College policies regularly and update as necessary.
  • Maintain the Accessibility COA webpage.
  • Annually update syllabus statements and student code of conduct.
  • Participate in appropriate professional development workshops, seminars and conferences.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of student information unless sharing information is due to a legitimate educational interest pursuant to FERPA and other COA Policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Vice President, Student Success & Enrollment Management.
  • Some evening and weekend work may be required.
