Minimum Qualifications

Minimum Requirements (Applicant must meet all of the minimum requirements)

1. Associate’s degree;
2. Three years of full-time or equivalent experience in fundraising, event, or project management;
3. Experience developing donor/client relationships.
4. Database management experience.

Preferred Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s degree;
2. Experience with Blackbaud’s Raiser’s Edge or similar fundraising software;
3. Experience working in an educational or non-profit setting;
4. Experience in prospect identification and research;
5. Proficiency in a foreign language such as Spanish, an East Slavic language, and/or American Sign Language.

Position Description

Job Description Summary

This position has responsibility for donor relations database management, special events, and Board of Directors communication.

Duties

1. Coordinates and implements all Foundation events, and works closely with volunteers and Foundation and College staff.

2. Develops and executes a comprehensive, multi-channel events sponsorship solicitation strategy including direct mail, email,

phone call, and in-person meetings.

3. Serves as the relationship manager for event sponsors and ensures a high level of donor stewardship.

4. Ensures all sponsor benefits are received, and tracks sponsorship payments, vendor fees, and other related event tasks.

5. Works with Executive Director and other college departments as necessary to develop overall plan and calendar for all phases

of Foundation events.

6. Develops database for guest lists, seating charts, and other key event information related to participants.

7. Develops all event copy for programs, signs, banners, apparel, and other event-related items and works in conjunction with

Communications.

8. Develops and secures all event logistics, event setup, and equipment requirements.

9. Utilizes Blackbaud donor software to create event registrations, track touchpoints with sponsors and maintain the database to

ensure all sponsor information is correct.

10. Manages and administers donor records in Blackbaud various databases including gift/pledge allocation and

acknowledgments.

11. Establishes and maintains database controls to ensure confidentiality and reliability of data; implements database changes,

imports/exports, and data cleaning; identifies, implements, and maintains database procedures.

12. Utilizes database to develop and analyze donor prospect lists in support of donor cultivation and solicitation including

campaigns, appeals, special events, and donor relations.

13. Performs additional operational tasks such as greeting visitors and answering calls, ordering supplies, managing the Board of

Directors’ communication including meeting notices and minutes.

14. Contributes to the College Vision, Mission, Values, and RISE statement.

15. Supports workforce diversity in all its aspects.

16. Performs other duties as assigned.
