Minimum Qualifications

The Allied Health Training Coordinator position includes oversight and development of the Allied Health training programs, student advising and assistance in scheduling instructions, reviewing applications, assignment of full and part time faculty and updating Allied Health instruction, updating and distributing course outlines and instructional materials. 

Education:

AAS in a related field required, Bachelors in related field preferred

Experience:
All applicants must have a minimum of 1 year lab experience and provide verifiable and relevant professional experience in a work-place setting or demonstrated instructional/teaching environment.
Must maintain current Registered Nurse credentials, approved by North Carolina Department of Health and Human Service, Division of Health Services as Coordinator/Instructor for Nurse Aide 1and Board of Nursing as Coordinator/Instructor for Nurse Aide 2. These include:
1.Must be a registered nurse with an unencumbered license.
2.Must be licensed to practice in North Carolina.
3.Must have at least two (2) years of work experience as a registered nurse (4000 hours) in direct patient care.
4.Must have at least one (1) year (2000 hours of RN experience in the provision of long term care facility services demonstrated by:
a. Working in a long term care facility licensed as a skilled nursing facility or a skilled nursing facility which is a distinct part of a hospital,
or
b. Supervising or teaching students in a long term care facility licensed as a skilled nursing facility
or a skilled nursing facility which is a distinct part of a hospital.
5. One year experience teaching adult learners.

Knowledge and Skills: 
The ideal person will possess strong personal and professional integrity, good verbal and written communication skills, and a commitment to safety. Demonstrated proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite or similar products, database systems, College email and website, and other computer applications associated with the position.  

Physical Demands:

The ability to perform all duties associated with the position including, but not limited to lifting, prolonged standing, sitting, bending, stooping, and operating or performing work with associated tools and machines.
